Overview: The main focus of the Glacier Jazz Stampede, in addition to supplying wonderful rhythmic jazz for all to enjoy – is to educate the younger generation about the origins of jazz.

Details: These separate bands have great musicians which will entertain you with renditions of traditional, big band, and swing jazz. The bands come for all over Montana, but also from some of the western states – Washington and California. Some have come from as far away as France. The event usually lasts for a full four days and the bands are located at different venues around the city.
As a part of this annual event, the local schools teach special classes and encourage their students to attend. You can purchase an all-day pass for a nominal amount or if you can only make it for one day, day passes are available at each venue. Come catch the beat at the Glacier Jazz Stampede.
