Overview
Whitefish Mountain Resort contains three parts - front side, backside and Hellroaring Basin. Most beginner trails are found on the front side, while the backside faces north and has excellent skiing conditions for intermediate and expert skiers. Hellroaring Basin boasts extensive off-trail skiing on uncrowded terrain. Whitefish Mountain is located just north of the town of Whitefish, Montana.

Mountain Activities
To ski Whitefish Mountain may be your primary goal, but there are many other activities available within the Whitefish area, such as snowcat skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. You can also explore hundreds of trails by snowmobile, take a sleigh ride through a winter wonderland or go dogsledding with the family.
Services
When skiing Whitefish Mountain Resort, you will have access to some fine eateries and apres-ski right on the mountain. Summit House Restaurant provides incredible views and offers dinner on Moonlight Dine and Ski nights (near the full moon in Jan, Feb, Mar). Stop at Kandahar Lodge for an espresso or hot chocolate.
There are rentals and repairs available, as well as lessons for all ages. With the Kids Center, you know you are in good hands with daycare facilities and indoor instruction to get the little ones introduced to snow sports.
